Mercy and Restoration

Earlier this year, I felt as if all had failed. I had lost everything. This past June, my friend introduced me to church. I had stopped attending church regulary for almost 6 years! I immediately felt a revival in me once I went to the church. There was an uplifting message concerning restoration. The Bishop stated that From January through June, some people have gone through alot. He gave this verse:

Joel 1:4

       What the locust swarm has left
       the great locusts have eaten;
       what the great locusts have left
       the young locusts have eaten;
       what the young locusts have left
       other locusts have eaten.

He explained that what we had- had been stripped away from us and that we have nothing left. Even the little we had left had been taken away. He prayed for restoration for July to December. I claimed that I will be blessed. I had FAITH. I believed that the restoration will be mine.

The Bishop then told us of the following verse concerning restoration:

Joel 2:25

       I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten—
       the great locust and the young locust,
       the other locusts and the locust swarm
       my great army that I sent among you.

I thank the Lord because it has come to pass and continues to pass. The Lord has blessed me and is restoring me. I stand in awe. I know he loves me and I write this with tears in my eyes because His love is great. I thank the Lord for sending my friend to show me a place where I have come to find my love, Jesus. I cannot believe that I spent so many years away from his presence. In His presence there is hope! There is FULLNESS of JOY!

I cannot begin to count my blessings here with you, they are immense. I can count them in my heart and say Hallelujah! For He is Good!

I was at work the other day and I shared a verse with my fellow Christian colleagues. I quoted:

Lamentations 3:21-23

This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Yes, His mercies are new every morning. Not every week, not every month but EVERY MORNING. That is why I have hope. For I know that it is more that sufficent.

Jesus,

I love and adore you. I praise you. Thank you for your Great Mercies. Thank you for your restoration. Indeed, MY GOD LIVES!

Amen
